Poetry and Ideology
- Photo of the day
- 1 minute
In Rudaki Park in Dushanbe there is a statue of the poet of the same name.
In 2007 it replaced the statue of Lenin. It was made in honor of Rudaki’s birthday in 1150, the poet is considered to be the father of Tajik poetry.
It was made of bronze by sculptor Vladimir Kozlov and is an exact copy of a monument previously erected in St. Petersburg’s Smolny Palace.
