“For me, this image reveals in a radical way the change brought about by modernisation. The old architecture, made up of meaningful motifs and details, is being covered with a sterile and cheap material, a simple white and monotonous mask, to give the illusion of growth and prosperity. However, although this façade is thin, it conceals the history of a region that deserves to be better known by the public. Dushanbe/ 2023″
