Norma Schneider

Norma Schneider is a freelance journalist, author and editor from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She writes for various media about culture, society, protest and the LGBTIQ* community in Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Her book "Punk statt Putin – Gegenkultur in Russland“ about protest, oppositional art and counterculture in Russia was published in April 2023. In fall 2023 she spent a three-month fellowship in Central Asia researching LGBTQ rights and queer communities in Kyrgyzstan.
