Designed by Canadian architect Farouck Noormohamed, the Ismaili Centre in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) draws its inspiration from the traditional architecture of the region, in particular the Samanid Mausoleum, while incorporating numerous technical innovations.

The magnificent skylight leading to the reception rooms reflects the ancient philosophical symbols of earth, water, air and fire. The Ismaili Cultural Centre is currently no longer permitted to carry out cultural and educational activities.
