The capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe is historically a city of commerce. Located on the legendary Silk Road, its name means “Monday market.”

Even today, markets are still very much a part of city life. Fine fabrics, fruits, a variety of spices… head to the Green Bazaar, the commercial heart of the city, to stock up on supplies!
