The village of Jyrgalan, east of Karakol in Kyrgyzstan, has recently opened up to ski touring. The village is ideally situated in the centre of a mountainous cirque which offers a large number of routes of varying difficulty and altitude. Photographer: Pierre-Armand Dussex (France)
