Prigorodny dachas

In the suburbs of Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan, located between the international airport and the ultra-modern buildings of the 2017 World Expo, the Prigorodny dachas are living on borrowed time. Residents know they will be evicted one day. New buildings are already springing up in the district, as well as new infrastructures, more in line with the real needs of the inhabitants: schools, shops, playgrounds. The uncertainty of the actual dates of eviction is making residents anxious. They already look back on their gardens with nostalgia, as if this district with the charm of another time already belongs to the past.
