‘Walking past a small bakery in Panjakent (панчакент), Tajikistan, a lovely elderly lady beckoned me in and asked me to take her picture, which absolutely made my day and allowed me to capture this beautiful moment of curiosity, hospitality and pure warmheartedness that we experienced throughout our journey in this breathtaking country. Delightful pastries and a happy baker represent the kindness and joy we saw everywhere in Tajikistan.’
