Bajterek-Tower

Nurzhol Boulevard is a major pedestrian thoroughfare in the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan. The Bajterek (“big poplar”) tower, a symbol of the city since 1997, is one of the city’s main tourist attractions. This observation tower, designed by the architect Akmurza Rustembekov, is said to be contrived by Nursultan Nazarbayev himself.
