In Khujand, Tajikistan, the historic district is bustling with activity!

The mausoleum of Sheikh Muslihiddin, a religious and historical complex dedicated to the 12th-century leader, poet, and Sufi master. A place of pilgrimage and a major symbol of the city, it was rebuilt after the Mongol invasions and then again in the 16th century, and today combines a tomb, mosque, and minaret.

The monument is located in the heart of the historic center, which is home to numerous markets. Khujand’s reputation as a trading city is well established!
