Horses in the wild at Son Kul

On the pastures of Son Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan, horses are left to roam freely all day. They sometimes graze miles away from their owners’ camps. In the evening they are herded around the yurt, close to the cows and sheep pens, also herded together for protection against wolf attacks.
