The remote, Dolomite-like Kelinshektau mountain range in the Karatau Mountains with its lush green meadows and imposing peaks reminiscent of the traditional hats of Kazakh brides (kelinshek in Kazakh for bride) invite many hikers and city dwellers to picnic on weekends.
