Intended for the sale of livestock, the Karakol market is held every Sunday from sunrise. A traditional Kyrgyz gathering place, visitors from far and wide come to buy and sell<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/photo-of-the-day\/trade-in-sheep\/?noredirect=en-GB\">sheep<\/a><\/strong>, goats and<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/photo-of-the-day\/the-horse-the-economic-foundation-of-kyrgyzstan\/\">horses<\/a><\/strong>.
