It was this architecture that enabled it to survive the 1911 earthquake, just four years after its construction. This cathedral closely resembles Russian and Muscovite churches in its ship-like shape. However, it is located in the large city of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Almaty\">Almaty,<\/a><\/strong> in the far south of Kazakhstan.
