What role could they play today in the former republics of Central Asia? That of a historical monument to a past that must not be forgotten? An outdated relic in the era of independent state-building? A devalued work of art? While <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/novastan.org\/fr\/kirghizstan\/au-kirghizstan-la-plus-grande-statue-de-lenine-de-la-region-retiree\/\">the statue of Lenin has just been dismantle<\/a><\/strong> in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Osh\">Osh<\/a><\/strong>, Kyrgyzstan, it is still possible to admire this enormous bust of Lenin in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Istaravshan\">Istaravshan<\/a><\/strong>, Tajikistan.
