“The nomads, who live on the shores of Lake Son Kul from May to September, are beginning to prepare for the cold winter ahead. They dismantle their yurt camps and migrate further down the valley. Bedding, livestock and most precious possessions are gathered in preparation for the long winter ahead.
These manoeuvres may mark the end of a chapter, but they also highlight the magnificent cyclical nature of life. Taking down the yurts now, for the duration of the winter, means that they will be reassembled for many to enjoy next summer!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
