{"id":46759,"date":"2024-09-25T06:16:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-25T04:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/?p=46759"},"modified":"2024-09-24T23:23:58","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T21:23:58","slug":"a-respectful-welcome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/photo-of-the-day\/a-respectful-welcome\/","title":{"rendered":"A respectful welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In front of his <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yurt\">yurt<\/a><\/strong> set up for the summer in the province of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Khorgos\">Khorgos<\/a><\/strong>, on the border between China and Kazakhstan, the owner welcomes a guest by pouring water over his hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turar Kazangapov, Kazakh photojournalist with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tengrinews.kz\">Tengrinews<\/a><\/strong>, recently travelled to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Xinjiang\">Xinjiang<\/a><\/strong> in China, where many Kazakhs, Uighurs, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dungan_people\">Dungans<\/a><\/strong> and Chinese live.
