{"id":46376,"date":"2024-05-31T05:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-31T03:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/?p=46376"},"modified":"2024-05-29T19:14:54","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T17:14:54","slug":"mesmerising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novastan.org\/en\/photo-of-the-day\/mesmerising\/","title":{"rendered":"Mesmerising"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Designed by Canadian architect Farouck Noormohamed, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aga_Khan_Development_Network\">Ismaili Centre <\/a><\/span>in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) draws its inspiration from the traditional architecture of the region, in particular the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Samanid_Mausoleum\">Samanid Mausoleum<\/a><\/span>, while incorporating numerous technical innovations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The magnificent skylight leading to the reception rooms reflects the ancient philosophical symbols of earth, water, air and fire.
