<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A boy rides his bicycle past the mosaic facade of a multi-family home on Abuali Ibn Sino Avenue in Dushanbe. This mosaic, designed by Sadukov &amp; Lukovtsev in 1971, celebrates Tajik labor and culture. Artists, musicians and cinematographers are featured, as well as <strong><a href="https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/business/swiss-ngos_cotton-tajikistan-s-pride-and-shame/41680322">the cotton plant, which was the basis of the Soviet Tajik economy.</a></strong> This mosaic has a companion on the building next door, which depicts the heritage passed down through three generations of a Soviet Tajik family.
